Farmington Hills, Mich. – March 21, 2022 - Akebono Brake Corporation is excited to announce the addition of Carl Tellier to the Aftermarket Sales Team.  Carl will fill the role of Eastern Regional Sales Manager, reporting to Mike Eldard, National Sales Manager.   Carl has an impressive 33 years of Automotive Aftermarket experience. He has held key sales positions with Tenneco Automotive/Driv with his most recent position at MAT Holdings Inc. as Director of Sales.

Farmington Hills, Mich. – January 14, 2022 – The Akebono Team presented visitors of their AAPEX booth in Las Vegas, Nevada with trivia questions; testing their knowledge of Akebono.  The contest was designed to bring awareness to the companies 40+ years of OEM, OES and Aftermarket expertise in North America, and even challenge our closest followers.

Farmington Hills, Mich. – November 9, 2021 – Akebono Brake Corporation has been awarded 2021 “Best Problem-Solver for Import Vehicles” by the Import Vehicle Community, Product and Marketing Awards held at AAPEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The winning entry was Akebono EURO^® Ultra-Premium Ceramic Disc Brake Pads for 2012-2021 BMW Sedans and Coupes with Blue-Caliper/Performance Brake Package; EUR1880 (front) and EUR1656 (rear) brake pad kits.

Farmington Hills, Mich. – June 25, 2021 – Today Akebono Brake Corporation added front brake coverage for a variety of Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the ProACT Ultra-Premium Disc Brake Pad line.  Kit also includes Premium 301 Stainless Steel Abutment Hardware.
